Bengaluru Resident Hangs Placard on Ola Electric Scooter, Warns People Against Buying it
A 'frustrated Ola customer' in Bengaluru has urged people not to buy the company's electric scooter after she experienced multiple breakdowns during rides.

A Bengaluru resident who purchased an Ola Electric scooter has warned others against buying the two-wheeler after experiencing multiple breakdowns during rides. Nisha C Shekar further claimed that customer care updated the software, but the issue persisted. She also mentioned that she had to wait nearly a month to receive the scooter and had paid the full amount in cash.

“I will be spreading awareness against Ola Electric,” wrote Shekar who uses the handle @Nisha_gowru on X (formerly known as Twitter). She also shared a picture of her scooter with a placard attached. It reads, “Dear Kannadigas, Ola is a useless two-wheeler. If you buy one, it will only make your life hard. Please do not buy an Ola Electric scooter.” She signed the placard as a “frustrated Ola customer”. By hanging the placard on her scooter, she aimed to give everyone who sees it a reality check about the vehicle, urging them to reconsider purchasing it.

The “frustrated Ola customer” is not only uniquely protesting against the company, but also filed a complaint with the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission. “District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission has admitted our case and sent a notice to the opposite party,” she further wrote.

In a post dated August 4, Nisha shared that she visited Ola Electric’s service centre to get her scooter repaired but it broke down mid-way after 1.5 hours of repair by “untrained technicians”. She claimed to have pushed the scooter for 1 km at night towards home.

“After paying 1,62,000, Ola Electric treats their customers worse than slaves! It is their mistake and why should I leave my work aside and tow this waste e-scooter to service centre?” she added.

Shekar further declared, “Ola is the worst. Period.”
