'Flying Chairs, Sticks': Bride and Groom's Families Clash in Firozabad Over 'Less Food', Watch Video
Firozabad wedding turns sour after bride and groom's families get into heated fight over shortage of food.

Wedding clashes seem to be the new norm, with news and viral videos capturing families embroiled in heated altercations over everything from food shortages to missing chicken in biryani. A recent incident in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, perfectly illustrates this trend. During a wedding ceremony, the feast took a dramatic turn when a food shortage led to a brawl between the bride and groom’s families, escalating to the point where sticks and chairs became weapons.

In a video that has gone viral, several men are seen hurling chairs and attacking each other with whatever they could grab. The food shortage at the wedding feast triggered such an intense fight that many attendees sustained minor injuries from the flying furniture and blows.

Take a Look:

According to ABP News, the bride’s brother alleged that the groom’s family, led by groom, demanded money from the bride’s family due to the food shortage. Despite giving some money, the groom’s family demanded Rs. 1 lakh more, which ignited the brawl. The dispute escalated rapidly, leading both sides to use sticks and rods, as captured in the viral footage.

The situation deteriorated to the point where the wedding was called off. The bride’s family took her home without the wedding vows being exchanged, marking a tragic end to the ceremony.

Interestingly, this isn’t an isolated incident. Just recently in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a wedding turned dramatic when guests discovered the biryani lacked chicken leg pieces. What began as a simple complaint spiralled into a chaotic brawl, with viral footage showing guests kicking, punching, and even throwing chairs. Rumour has it the groom himself got involved, turning the celebration into complete mayhem as both families clashed.

These incidents reflect a worrying trend where the sanctity and joy of weddings are overshadowed by conflicts over minor inconveniences. As these stories go viral, they serve as a cautionary tale, reminding us that the essence of a wedding lies in the union and celebration of two families, not in the perfection of the feast.
