Samosa is an all-time favourite snack with a crispy crust outside and a delicious filling. Apart from classic aloo samosas, several other types of samosa recipes have gone viral in the past. From paneer samosa to Manchurian samosa, several recipes of samosa created a buzz on the internet. Recently, another samosa recipe surfaced online because of its unique shape. The video has set the internet ablaze. From its basic triangular shape, samosa has been given a crisscross detailing in this viral recipe.

The clip opens to show a vlogger carefully cutting into the flattened dough (used for the covering of samosas). With the help of a knife, she makes multiple half-slits on two sides and makes sure that while slicing, the corner of the slits doesn’t touch each other. She places stuffing on one part of the triangle and wraps it with the other one. Now, she starts making the threads of the samosa. For this, she wraps the slits on top of each other, giving that perfect crisscross, chequered appearance. This unique shape of samosa can you a little more crispy crust than the usual triangular samosa shape. The Instagram reel was posted by a food vlogger on her Instagram page @plumsandpickle. Sharing the video, the user mentioned all the ingredients used in the recipe. She wrote, “Thread Samosa…Holi Special. Here is the list of ingredients: For the filling: Boiled potato, Boiled green peas, Paprika, Salt, Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Amchur powder, and Coriander leaves. For the dough: 2 cups All-purpose flour, 2 tbsp of ghee or Oil, 1/2 tsp, Ajwain, Salt, and Water. Cover and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.”

The post was shared a few days ago and since then it has collected more than 95 million views and numbers are still increasing. Some Instagram users also flooded the comments section of the post praising the vlogger for her creativity. Many didn’t shy away from confessing that they would be trying this recipe soon. “Samosa premium package,” commented an Instagram user. “Save kr leti hu parso banungi, (Let me save will make it a day after)” added a second. “Delicious lachedar samosas the name pops up in my mind,” wrote a third user.
