Watch: In Hotel Washroom, Soap Tied To Leash To Avoid Being Stolen
Instagram user Vijay Katoch recently posted this video, which appears to be of a house or hotel built near a hilly area.

Do you remember the days when steel mugs were chained in train bathrooms to prevent theft? Times have changed, and now bathrooms are equipped with water jets, but the idea of securing items to avoid theft remains effective. A video has recently gone viral showing a soap bar tied with a rope, similar to how cows and buffaloes are tethered, leaving viewers both amused and surprised.

Instagram user Vijay Katoch (@stuntsoul) shared this video, likely taken at a house or hotel in a hilly area. In the video, he stops to wash his hands and notices a soap bar tied to a rod with a string. The soap has a hole in the middle, through which the rope is threaded and secured to prevent it from being taken away.

The caption, “Acchey din kab aayenge” (“When will the good days truly come?”), adds a humorous touch to the surprising sight. While the soap might still be vulnerable to being broken or cut, the creative method of keeping it safe has certainly caught people’s attention.

This video went viral in no time and has received more than 6 lakh views, while many people have given their reactions by commenting. One of the users said, “Soap is not safe in our country!” Another added that this is done not because of humans but because of the fear of crows; they take away soap; which is why it is tied. “This technique should not go out of India,” commented the third user.
