People across the world have quite varied hobbies that they perceive as fun, i.e.- playing football or cricket or surfing the waves etc. Some people also find thrill in risky works like exploring narrow tunnels by crawling and occasionally getting stuck. A video of an Instagram user called Underground Birmingham shows him getting down a hole and exploring a mine. A man handles this page. According to his bio, he is an adventurist and a traveller. This clip starts with the man throwing his bag down the 100ft (30 meters) hole and then climbing down it to explore a 3ft (.9 meters) mine. It is not a very big opening and as the creator goes deep inside it, it feels claustrophobic even by looking at it. The digital creator picks up his bag and continues to go inside the mine, even as the roof closes dangerously to him.

He then illuminates the tunnel by lighting up the torch which shows many stones of different sizes lying around. Users can also see two steel rails in the tunnel. This signifies that the tunnel could have been probably used as an underground railway track at one time. “So, I hope you guys enjoy it..”, says this creator and the users can feel that he is running out of breath due to the lack of oxygen. He then starts to search for an exit to the tunnel which is not visible in the clip.

Social media users were surprised to see the man going down such a dangerous pathway with a torch strapped to him. One of the users asked how he coped with the lack of oxygen and heat. The creator replied that he remains in shorts or without a shirt to avoid the heat. He added that for the oxygen, people should keep an eye on the meter making sure that it’s not low. Another asked how often he has faced bats and rice to which the creator replied that he has faced bats in his expeditions.

A user with the name Underground Birmingham had explored a similar tunnel from the 1860s some time back.

This post left many anxious and users wondered how he managed to get out.
