Watch: Man Goes Treasure Hunting, Finds Doll With Ornaments And Coins

As a child, finding treasure must have been a favourite game for many. Now, as an adult, it remains a great pass time. People search every inch of an area with metal detectors, whether in their backyard, garden, random campsite or others. Often, people have looked for treasure and ended up finding something unexpected. So, how would you react if you dig up the earth excitedly looking for precious metals or gems and find a scary-looking doll?

In a now-viral video, a man was searching for treasure on the mountain with his equipment, when his metal detector sensed something in the ground. After removing layers and layers of rocks, stones and soil, he found a wooden box. Giving in to his curiosity, the man in the clip quickly cleared out the soil from the lid of the box and opened it.

However, he found something strange inside, which looked like a bundle. Initially, it looked like a snakeskin. But after he took it out and closely inspected it, it turned out to be a cloth doll with a gold-toned necklace around its neck. The doll looked quite scary, almost like a voodoo doll. He pointed the camera towards the empty box and then took his metal detector near it and it beeped yet again. He found metallic coins underneath the remaining soil in the box.

The caption reads, “Witness the discovery of magical treasure.” The users in the comments section had mixed reactions. One wrote, “Roman doll, must belong to some nobleman.” Another commented, “You have unlocked some spiritual power I guess.” A user wrote, “There is nothing magical about this. That looks to be some kind of voodoo doll with a mantra on it. You don’t know what type of curse you just unleashed on yourself or others.” A comment read, “Fake fake fake.” The clip has amassed more than one lakh views on Instagram. The account named “Goold Seeker” has videos of many other treasure finds that might keep one glued to the posts.
