What has been your biggest fan girl moment? For a woman, it was dancing to legendary actress Sridevi’s track in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. An Instagram user Aavi Vadekar recorded his mother Anita Vadekar fulfilling her “40-year-old Bollywood dream”. Aavi shared the heartwarming video on his Instagram timeline. The now-viral clip opens to show Aavi’s mother, draped in a gorgeous red saree, standing atop a big rock. Anita Vadekar grooves to late Sridevi’s iconic chartbuster Mitwa in the backdrop of breathtaking views of lush green mountains. The clip shows Anita Vadekar moving around the countryside while lip-syncing the song.
The text on the video read, “Mere mummy ka 40 years purana Bollywood dream (age is just a number).” Sharing the clip, Aavi Vadekar wrote in the caption, “Age is just a number to complete your dream. Just go for it.” Going by the hashtags, it turns out that this was entirely a Mother’s Day gift for Anita Vadekar from Aavi.
Needless to say, the comments section was flooded with innumerable users lauding Anita Vadekar. In addition, many Sridevi fans also expressed their views through comments. A comment read, “You see a woman in a saree, we see a little girl living her dream.”
“Moms just being happy is divine,” read another.
Inspired by the clip, a user revealed how he is eager to fulfil his mother’s dreams, as the comment read, “I asked my mom once what is her dream but she said nothing, she’ll tell me one day and I don’t care how impossible that is, it will be fulfilled or I’ll die trying.”
Many called Anita Vadekar, “The happiest mom on this Earth, and son doing his best to keep the moment best.”
Another said, “Aunty is not dancing, she is enjoying the song.”
Some revealed that their mothers also have the same dream, and Aita Vadekar is living it all. “She’s living my mummy’s dream,” read the comment.
“I want to do the same video with my mom. Someone is living my dream,” wrote a user.
A person joked, “Aunty ji ke rishi Kapoor kaha hai…[Where is Rishi Kapoor of this Sridevi]?”
Mitwa is a hit song from Sridevi’s 1989 film Chandni, featuring her alongside Rishi Kapoor in the lead. The film was directed by legendary Yash Chopra.
