'We're God's Agents': Doctor Who Saved Elderly Man By Performing CPR Narrates What Happened At Delhi Airport
A woman doctor received praises from the internet after she revived a man through timely CPR at Delhi airport.

Doctors are often seen as lifesavers, which was proven true at the Delhi airport recently. A senior citizen suffered a heart attack at Terminal 2, and it was a doctor’s swift action that turned the tide. Captured on video and now widely circulating on social media, the doctor’s cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) efforts revived the 60-year-old man, who had lost consciousness and his pulse. Doctor Priya, who administered CPR to the man, said that no one could take the place of God but could only work according to his will.

The video, shared on ‘X’ by Rishi Bagree, reads, “Today at T2 Delhi Airport, a gentleman in his late 60s had a heart attack in the food court area. This lady Doctor revived him in 5 mins. Super proud of Indian doctors. Please share this so that she can be acknowledged.” One clip shows the doctor continuously pumping the man’s chest while calling for airport staff. Another shows the man waking up as the doctor keeps performing CPR.

A resident of Rajasthan’s Ajmer, Dr Priya was waiting for her flight at Terminal 2 of Delhi’s IGI Airport when she and her husband saw an elderly man collapse. Recalling the events that followed, she told ANI, ”My husband Dr Ramakant Goyal was with me and when we reached there, a doctor couple was also there- Dr Umesh Bansal and his wife Dr Dolly Bansal. When the four of us saw, he was completely unresponsive, his breathing had stopped, his heartbeat had completely stopped, and he was not breathing at all.”

The video quickly went viral, sparking reactions from the public. One person commented, “Salute to the doctor! Every Indian should learn how to do CPR. In Germany it’s part of the first aid course which is a mandatory step to get a driving license.” Another added, “That women literally snatched uncle’s soul from Yamraj. Super Proud of her.” A third said, “That’s incredible news! Kudos to the lady doctor who acted swiftly and revived the gentleman within just 5 minutes. Proud of our  doctors for their dedication and life-saving skills!” The fourth chimed in, “It’s so gratifying that people step up to help in emergencies. Salute to the culture. Thank you doctor.”

This isn’t the first time a doctor’s quick actions have made headlines. In Andhra Pradesh, a doctor saved a 6-year-old boy who was electrocuted in Ayyappa Nagar, Vijayawada. The boy’s frantic parents were carrying him along the road when he went into cardiac arrest. Dr. Ravalika, passing by, noticed and immediately stepped in to help.

No doubt, such stories serve as powerful reminders of the selfless dedication of medical professionals everywhere.
