Woman Critically Injured After Tree Falls on Her at Andhra's Tirumala Temple, Scary Video Surfaces

A woman devotee at Tirumala temple complex in Andhra Pradesh suffered a serious injury when a large tree branch suddenly fell on her as she was heading towards Japali Theertham of Lord Hanuman on Friday. The incident, captured on camera by a fellow devotee, occurred at Japali Theertham, a sacred spot within the temple premises. The chilling footage shows the moment the tree branch struck her, causing her to collapse unconscious.

In the video, everything appears normal as devotees walk along the pathway leading to the temple. Amidst the serene setting with several trees lining the road, the sudden fall of the thick branch catches everyone by surprise, leaving the woman in distress.

According to sources from India Today, the woman, identified as Umarani from Bengaluru, suffered a spinal cord injury from the incident at Tirumala. She is currently receiving intensive medical treatment, with her condition closely monitored by medical staff to ensure her recovery. Identified as Umarani, the devotee from Bengaluru, had visited Tirumala with her family to seek darshan at the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple, and they also planned to visit the Hanuman Temple at Japali Theertham.

This unfortunate incident has sparked concerns regarding the safety protocols within the temple complex, prompting a review of existing measures.

In another incident last year, Chandravathi, a 70-year-old woman from Mandara, demonstrated a remarkable presence of mind that prevented a potential train mishap near her home. On March 21 around 2:10 pm, Chandravathi noticed a tree had fallen onto the railway track between Padil and Jokatte. Aware that the Matsyagandha Express from Mangaluru to Mumbai was scheduled to pass through, she swiftly retrieved a red cloth from her house and waved it to alert the approaching train’s locomotive pilot.

Responding to her signal, the alert pilot immediately slowed down the train, stopping it just in time before reaching the obstruction on the track. Railway personnel and locals then arrived to clear the fallen tree from the track, ensuring safety and resuming normal train operations.

For her quick thinking and heroic action, Chandravathi was honored at a ceremony hosted by Railway police, attended by senior officials who praised her courage and quick response in averting a potential disaster.
