Woman Prepares Rotis In Pressure Cooker And Internet Is Not Happy With This Desi Jugaad

Making the perfect round and fluffy roti is regarded as an art, and not many beginners succeed in this. While it’s a piece of cake for those who have been into cooking for years, for most people, it’s a real struggle. The entire process of making rotis is long drawn. From making the dough to burning it on the griddle to cook it well, people are always looking for a hack to make it easier. While there are machines that do hard work, not everyone has the space to accommodate them. Well, it seems, this user has found a hack to make rotis in no time. But is it really effective?

A video circulating on social media shows a person cooking rotis in a pressure cooker in a matter of minutes. In the clip, numerous rotis are rolled on a rolling board and then placed on a plate. A woman takes a pressure cooker and puts it on the stove. She then adds salt inside the cooker and places a steel bowl on top. Next, she takes the bunch of roti she kept aside and stacks them together. Finally, she places the stack on the bowl, covers the cooker, and lets it cook. After some time, she opens the lid and shows the perfectly cooked roti. To add more flavour, she spread a little ghee on it.

A user also pointed out, “It’s edited video, it’s risky too. No steam without water. Cooker may blast.” Many warned against such misleading videos and asked online user to not post such ineffective hacks. “Please do not try this at home. Without water, cooker will not pressurize & 2nd, it cannot whistle without water as shown in video. Pls don’t try this it’s very dangerous,” said one. Another user sarcastically said, “Do not post such videos, boys in hostel may think this the way they can make chapatis.”

A user also stated that this was a sign of how lazy people have become. Jokingly one user said, “Hey Prabhu…Insanon ki kaam chori to badhti hi ja rhi.”

Interestingly, seeing how the woman devised a hack to make rotis, one person sarcastically suggested, “Sath me 2 aloo kaat ke daal dete..alloo paratha banke aa jata..stree shakti,” while another joked, “Rice be like:- Haan ab mujhe Tawa pe banao.”
