We often use food delivery apps when we have a craving to eat something delicious or are simply too lazy to cook. Minutes after placing an order, a delivery person arrives at our door with the food in only a few taps. Soon after receiving it, we thank the executive for bringing the order. But did you know that India’s one of the top food delivery platforms, Zomato, recently promoted four of its delivery partners to product managers?
The CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal, announced the wonderful news on X. He explained that the promotions were part of the “Zomato Copilot” initiative. “Meet our Copilots – Atul, Abhijith, Raja, and Harshit! As part of this program, four delivery partners are now working with us as product managers in our Gurugram HQ,” Goyal noted.
Goyal elaborated on the Zomato Copilot effort, stating that it was introduced in July so that the delivery partners could play an even more important role inside their ecosystem and help us enhance the systems. He also shared a video link claiming that he has learned a lot from their (delivery partners) views, recommendations, and insights and can’t wait to put them into action.

“Diversity in every form – if given a seat at the table – can truly breed innovation and generate ideas that have the power to shape our business. We look forward to continuing to serve you (better). And we’re always listening, without unnecessary ego, or pride,” Goyal said towards the end of his post.
Along with the post, the Zomato CEO also included two images. The staff members can be seen in the first picture sporting red T-shirts bearing Zomato’s logo. In the next, they are conversing while seated around a table in casual dress.
The post was shared on August 8 and it has collected over 82,000 views. Several social media users shared positive reactions in the comment section.
