Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Boris McGiver, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil and Campbell Scott return for this sixth and final eight-episode season, which will focus on Robin Wright's character, Frank's wife and serving US President Claire Underwood. A broadcast date has not yet been announced by Netflix, though season six could still arrive before 2018's end.

Diane Lane has been acclaimed for her performances in 2002 thriller Unfaithful, Under the Tuscan Sun and Cinema Verite. She has appeared in three Superman-oriented movies part of the DC Extended Universe franchise -- Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Justice League. While Lane received an Oscar nomination for Unfaithful, Greg Kinnear's nod came for 1997 romcom As Good as It Gets. He played John F. Kennedy in Canadian-American miniseries The Kennedys and was nominated for an Emmy following his guest starring role in a season three episode of Modern Family.
