Noa Argamani, the Israeli woman, who was kidnapped by the Hamas militants from a music concert on October 7 and held hostage for over 240 days, was washing dishes at the time she was rescued by the Israeli troops.

Talking about the rescue operation to a local news channel, Argamani said she was washing dishes when the Israeli soldiers entered the house to rescue her adding that any lapse could have cost her life.

“It was scary. The soldiers were brave. In a matter of one second, I may not have been here today,” Channel 13 quoted her as saying.

Argamani’s captivity became an international headline after her kidnapping video went viral. In the footage, she was seen being driven away by gunmen as she screamed, “Don’t kill me! No, no, no.”

Harrowing footage of her being taken into Gaza on the back of a motorcycle, pleading for her life and reaching desperately towards her boyfriend being marched alongside her on foot circulated across the globe. Her boyfriend Avi Nathan was also seen being manhandled by the Hamas group.

Hours after her rescue, freed hostage Noa Argamani was taken to a hospital in Tel Aviv to see her terminally ill mother, whose heartfelt video asking authorities to free her daughter captured the attention of social media users.

Back in October, shortly after her daughter was abducted Liora, Noa’s mother, sitting in a wheelchair, was asked in an interview with a local television station how she imagined their reunion.

“At least to be able to hug her,” Liora answered.

Hospital CEO Ronni Gamzu said the mother’s condition was “complicated and tough”. He said Argamani was able to communicate with her mother, who they believe understood that her daughter had come home.
