Suzuki has decided to withdraw its 250cc offering from the Indian market. Low sales and lesser profitability have led to this decision. During our road test back in February we had predicted that it would not set the sales charts on fire. The fresher, sportier, attention grabbing competition finally led to the demise of a mature offering.
The Inazuma is one of the most comfortable bikes to ride for an extended period of time with amazing refinement and the best ride quality. Suzuki tried its best to lure customers by slashing prices by 30 per cent.
This led to additional interest, but could not translate into sales. The youth has a general preference for faired bikes with an aggressive stance. Which was not the strong point of this Suzuki. KTM nailed it with the Duke 390 when it came to outright performance to price ratio.
