Popular Kannada director and actor Tharun Sudhir turned 41 on Monday. He is currently gearing up for his upcoming movie, Kaatera. The film stars Radhana Ram, Darshan Thoogudeepa and Kumar Govind. Darshan decided to make Tharun Sudhir’s birthday a special one. He made arrangements for the celebration on the sets of Kaatera.
Tharun Sudhir was in for a huge surprise after Darshan Thoogudeepa threw a birthday bash for him. A huge cake was ordered and the entire team celebrated the special day together. The party was also attended by Kaatera’s producer Rockline Venkatesh, along with other artists and technicians who were present on the set. The Kaatera team also decided to honour Tharun Sudhir with a Mysore turban, shawl and flower garland. Pictures of the celebration surfaced on the internet.

In a video, Tharun Sudhir can be seen hugging Darshan. The cast and crew on the set fed him the cake and also smiled and posed for the camera.
Tharun Sudhir predominantly works in the Kannada movie industry and is famed for his directorial debut movie titled Chowka. It starred Vijay Raghavendra, Prem, Diganth, Prajwal Devaraj, Chikkanna, Aindrita Ray, Priyamani, Bhavana and Deepa Sannidhi. His next movie as a director was Robert which hit the theatres in 2021. The movie had Darshan in the lead role.
Tharun Sudhir is also an actor. He made his acting debut in the entertainment industry as a child artist in Ganeshana Maduve. As an adult, he made his debut with the movie Excuse Me. He has also acted in movies like Chappale, Jothe Jotheyali, Vidhyarthi, Navagraha, and Vishnu Sena.
Currently, Tharun Sudhir is busy shooting for Kaatera. This is his second collaboration with the Challenging Star Darshan. The movie is billed to be a real-life story that is based on a village named Kaatera.
As per reports, the movie is slated to release this year. In an interview with News18, it was revealed that Darshan’s role in the movie will be a unique one. Even his look will be quite different and will match the rural backdrop of the story. In the same interview, when Tharun Sudhir was asked about action sequels, he said that there wouldn’t be any emphasis on the action in the film. He believes that the storyline of Kaatera is so engaging that there is no specific need to show fights.
