Release Date Of Dhanush-starrer Captain Miller Postponed

Actor Dhanush will be next seen in the periodic film Captian Miller, written and directed by Arun Matheswaran. The movie is touted to be based in the pre-independence era. It was initially slated to release on December 15 but now the makers have postponed its release date to next year.

As per the recent poster by Sathya Jyothi Films, the official production house for the film, the movie will hit theatres on the occasion of Pongal next year. According to this, the movie is expected to release in the second week of January 2024. The makers have not announced the official release date yet. This must have disappointed the fans of Dhanush who were excited to watch one of the biggest movies of their favourite actor. The makers have also revealed a new look of the actor from the movie along with this announcement.

Captain Miller is produced by Senthil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films. Through their Twitter handle, the production house informed the fans of the actor about this recent change in the release date of the movie. “Our #CAPTAINMILLER is all set for a grand release this PONGAL / SANKRANTI 2024,” tweeted the makers of the movie.

With this, Captain Miller has now avoided the clash with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki and Prabhas movie Salaar at the box office in December. Now, it will be clashing with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Vijay Deverkaonda’s Family Star.

Captain Miller is one of the most anticipated Tamil movies in the entertainment industry. The Kannada actor Dr Shivarajkumar will play a prominent role in the film. This will be his second Tami movie after the blockbuster Jailer. GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music of the movie while Siddhartha Nuni will handle the cinematography of the film. The makers claimed in previous interviews that there would be no item songs in the movie. Priyanka Arul Mohan will play the lead role of the actress in Captain Miller.
