In India, many entrepreneurs have started their journey from humble beginnings and have gone on to become some of the biggest businessmen. One such company that has become extremely popular and successful, particularly in Bihar, is Rudra Biscuits. The Biscuit company is as popular as Britannia in the state of Bihar.
In almost every household in the district of Begusarai, Bihar, be it children, youth, or adults, everyone enjoys Rudra biscuits. But the journey of the company has been quite impressive.
Rudra Biscuits were started by Pawan Kumar Gupta. He decided to start the business after he had fallen ill and was not given permission to take leave from his office. Gupta is the son of Lalbabu Prahad, who is a resident of Darha village in the Bakhri Nagar Parishad area, 25 km away from Begusarai. He has worked as an interior designer in Delhi for the last 18 years. He had a good salary, but he didn’t get enough leave during his tenure. He revealed that he got extremely ill in 2023, but the MNC refused to give him leave. It was found that after the refusal, he decided to quit his job and go back to his village.
He revealed that during his job, there was a biscuit company near his office, and he had seen how biscuits were made in the factory. This gave him an idea of how to start a biscuit-making factory. He figured out that this business could become a good source of income and, as a result, decided to start it in his village. He even received financial support of Rs 25 lakh from the PMFME scheme that is run by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
One of the factory managers revealed that there are currently 12 factory workers. The factor also makes bread, buns, biscuits, and rusks that make up a sale of up to Rs 10 lakh every month in Begusarai, Khagaria, Samastipur and Patna districts.
