How to Type Emojis on PC

Opening the Character Picker

Press ⊞ Win+. or ⊞ Win+;. This will open the character picker on Windows. Your keyboard might also have a character picker button; this button will usually have a smiley face or a square with a heart on top of it.

Choose the character picker button on a touch keyboard. This icon has a square with a heart on top of it. This will open the emoji up for picking.

Typing Emoji on Keyboard

Select the smiley face. This will allow you to pick an emoji.

Choose an emoji. You can also quickly search for an emoji. Clicking on one will insert the emoji immediately.
