MI Team News
Mumbai Indians are coming from a game that would have left a huge dent in their bowling line-up. Their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad went down in the history books. MI conceded the highest team total ever in the history of IPL – 277.
Following is the Economy of the MI bowlers from their last game:
Kwena Maphaka – 16.50
Hardik Pandya – 11.50
Jasprit Bumrah – 9.00
Gerald Coetzee – 14.25
Piyush Chawla – 17.00
Shams Mulani – 16.50
The biggest task for the home team would be to come out of this and bring their bowling lineup back on track. The advantage is that it’s the home turf, a pitch that MI players and their leadership group know inside out.
The positive thing from that SRH game was that Mumbai managed to somehow reach closer to the mammoth total and just lost by 31 runs. Hardik Pandya and Co. were able to put up 246 on board by the end of their innings, courtesy of Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma and Tim David. They would want to carry forward that momentum into their first home game as well.
The biggest drawback for this side is that they are missing the services of the best T20 batter in the world – Suryakumar Yadav who is still recovering from a sports hernia surgery.
SKY is currently under the observation of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

RR Team News
Rajasthan Royals are riding the train of success so far in this IPL 2024 as they won their first two encounters against Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. They are on the number 3 position on the points table.
Rajasthan, even without their openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler firing, have somehow managed to put up a good total on the board in both matches. Skipper Sanju Samson and the most discussed RR player on social media, Riyan Parag have stepped up for the team when it needed the most.
Samson scored 82* off 52 balls in his first IPL match of this season against LSG. Whereas Riyan decided to play the lead role in RR’s second game scoring 84* off 45 deliveries. In fact, even Ravichandran Ashwin showed his batting prowess in that game with a quickfire 29 off 19 balls which included some clean hitting by the veteran off-spinner.
Rajasthan would be looking to get a hat-trick of wins and move up the table.

MI VS RR Pitch Report
Wankhede has always been a batting paradise where a lot of huge totals are scored and also chased quite easily at times. The short boundaries all around also make sure that we get to see a lot of boundaries being scored throughout the 40 overs. In 109 IPL games at this venue, teams batting first have won 50 times, while chasing teams have won 59 times. With both the batting line-ups filled with big hitters, we might yet again see a run-fest at the iconic Wankhede stadium.
