'Saved the Best for the Last': Piyush Chawla's Post With Rohit Raises Speculation
Piyush Chawla's caption on a photo with Rohit Sharma has raised speculations regarding the Indian skipper's future.

While Mumbai Indians’ season in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League might not have panned out as they desired, Piyush Chawla’s latest post on Instagram has added more fuel to the fire towards the uncertainties in the MI camp.

As the various players are set to part ways following the campaign, Chawla uploaded a post on Instagram with none other than Rohit Sharma where he had an interesting caption, to say the least. His caption read,” Saved the best for the last, One with the Legend,” while tagging the Indian skipper.

Rohit who is set to lead the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, has had a worrying IPL campaign with the bat. He had a fairly decent start to the tournament which had a couple of decent scores to start off and the century against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede which came in a losing cause.

However, his form since then has had a massive dip which could be a worry considering he is the designated opening batter for the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024.

Mumbai Indians as a collective have also had a season to forget as they were unable to qualify for the playoffs indicating a steep decline in comparison to the previous season where they finished at fourth last year.

However, in the international scene, Rohit has been in good touch going from the ODI World Cup 2023 where he finished as the second-highest run-scorer with 597 runs followed by a fine performance with the bat against Afghanistan in the T20I series where he scored 121 off 69 deliveries.

In MI’s final game of the season against the Lucknow Super Giants, Rohit closed out his campaign with a fine knock of 68 in 38 balls which came at a losing cause once more as they finished with yet another loss at the Wankhede.

Fans of Indian cricket will hope that Rohit is able to put his IPL woes behind him and get back to his best as he leads the Indian side once again for his first T20 World Cup and hope they can finally get the big prize.
