Students who have appeared for their Class 5 and Class 8 board examinations in Rajasthan are facing a lot of trouble, as they have yet to receive their mark sheets.
The examinations were conducted from March 28 to May 4. The results were released by the board on May 30. However, even after four months following declaration of results, the students have not yet received their mark sheet.
According to reports, students who have appeared for Class 5 and Class 8 examination will have to wait for more than a month for their mark sheet. Reports said that the reason behind this delay is the time taken to print these mark sheets by the Registrar Educational Department office at Bikaner.
In the 2023-24 session, 26.86 lakh students in the state had taken their Class 5 and Class 8 examination. Out of these, 90,766 students were from Sikar district. They are facing the brunt of not receiving their mark sheets in time.
According to reports, candidates are repeatedly visiting the district education department office and schools for their mark sheets, as a copy is required for admission to the next class.
In this examination, 45,031 students from Sikar district appeared for their Class 5 board examination, while 45,735 students appeared for their Class 8 board examination. The mark sheets of the 5th and 8th classes have not yet reached the Education Department office located at the district headquarters from Bikaner.
According to reports, it will take more than a month for the entire process, from printing the mark sheets to distributing them by sending them through the nodal school.
After the 5th and 8th board examinations, students usually take admission to some other school. They have to submit a copy of their mark sheet of the board examination at the time of admission. Due to unavailability of the mark sheets on time, students are facing problems. Schools are now forced to admit students based on their online mark sheets.
