Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV), aka the University of Jabalpur, has once again grabbed the limelight, but this time for all the right reasons. The government university is the first education institute in Madhya Pradesh where the results of students in the final year of graduation were released on the same day under the new education policy.
Showing impressive efficiency, RDVV has set a high standard after it declared the results of its final year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) in just a few hours, the same day the test was concluded. This important announcement was made on May 7 by RDVV Registrar Dipesh Mishra, who emphasised the university’s commitment to a swift academic process as per the new National Education Policy.
The exam was scheduled for May 7 at 6 pm and the University administration released the result on the same day. The BCA final year examination saw participation from 50 students across six colleges. The exam was conducted at two centres located in Jabalpur and Katni districts of Madhya Pradesh. Interestingly, the evaluation process for the answer sheets for the last paper at both the centres was finished on the same day and hence the results were declared quickly.
To ensure quick results, the answer sheets were brought from the Katni examination centre to Jabalpur immediately after the exam concluded. Meanwhile, the teachers in the University were ready to begin evaluation. Dipesh Mishra added that minute attention was paid to maintain this efficiency. Reportedly, a vehicle along with an official was arranged to transport the answer sheets from Katni, cover a distance of about 90 kilometres and reach Jabalpur. This helped in the quicker evaluation process and result declaration. The practical exam was also scheduled during the scheduled time, hence there was no delay.
This swift action by the Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya resulted in students being happy with the work of the University. It is now hoped that shortly, the university will continue to declare the exam results quickly like this and save a lot of time for students as well.
