Jharkhand’s Aditi Jha Secures Second Rank In Indian Economic Services Exam
Aditi is the only successful candidate from Jharkhand.

In a momentous accomplishment, Aditi Jha, a resident of Jharkhand’s Bokaro, has achieved a remarkable feat. The 25-year-old secured the second rank in the prestigious Indian Economics Services (IES) organised by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). While preparing for the exam Aditi relied on the online content, including the study material collected from teachers. Aditi is the only successful candidate from Jharkhand state who has achieved this success. Aditi’s father Dilip Kumar Jha works in LIC in Bokaro. Her mother Abha Jha is a Sanskrit teacher and Aditi’s elder brother Animesh Kumar Jha is posted in Bengaluru.

University topper in post-graduation

Aditi, a student of Bokaro GGPS, completed her 12th from Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Later, she graduated and did her post-graduation in Economics from Christ University, Bangalore. Aditi was a university topper in post-graduation. It was during her course that she decided to crack the IES exam.

‘Motto is to serve the nation’ – Aditi

Aditi said that one can serve the country by joining the Indian Economics Service (IES), as making policy for the country is an important task. “We can do something better about the unemployment situation in the country because the number of youth in the country is high,” Aditi asserted.

Family reacts to Aditi’s success:

Aditi’s father Dilip Kumar Jha said that when the results were declared, he couldn’t believe that she had achieved this, it was a proud moment for each one of us. Aditi’s father also revealed that his family was convinced by their daughter’s decision to opt for Economics for higher studies after she secured good marks in her board exams. Dilip mentioned that many people used to criticise them but seeing Aditi’s hard work, they were confident that she would achieve her goals.

Dilip mentioned that Aditi had never gone out of her hometown but she shifted to Bengaluru for higher education. Mother Abha Jha, who works as a teacher in a high school, recalled that seeing Aditi’s ability to sit and study for longer periods of time, she advised her daughter to study arts after 10th. “Today, on the basis of her dedication, apt planning and right decision, she has passed the UPSC exam,” Abha said.
