NEET UG 2024 Results: Students Highlight Irregularities and Possible Paper Leak Concerns
Taking to social media, many aspirants and individuals have questioned how anyone could achieve 718 or 719 marks in the NEET UG 2024

A total of 67 applicants this year have scored NEET All India Rank (AIR) 1, with a percentile score of 99.997129, according to the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 4. However, several questions have been raised about the evaluation of the results released, possible paper leaks, and the general conduct of the NEET UG 2024.

Taking to social media, many aspirants and individuals have questioned how anyone could achieve 718 or 719 marks in the NEET UG, claiming that it is impossible, reported ABP News. After 720 which is the total marks of the exam, one can only receive 716 marks, and earning 718 and 719 does not appear mathematically viable. According to the results, the cut-off of this year’s exam is 720-164, which is higher than the cut-off from last year at 720-137.

On the other hand, numerous aspirants and social media users have voiced concern over the NEET UG results, citing the fact that 8 toppers with the same sequence of roll numbers starting with “2307010” and exam centres received the top scores in the exam. This has raised suspicions that there was a probable paper leak at the exam centres.

The NTA has provided clarity on this matter, However, this clarification has not gone quite well with people. The NTA stated that applicants who reported a loss of time during the NEET UG 2024 had been offered grace marks.

“The loss of examination time was determined, and those applicants were compensated with grace marks. So, the candidate’s grades may be 718 or 719,” the NTA added.

According to a post on its official “X” (formerly Twitter) account, NTA received a few representations and court cases from NEET (UG) 2024 students, who expressed worries over the time lost during the exam on May 5.
