Ananya Panday graced the IIFA Utsavam green carpet in a dreamy drape featuring hand embroidered floral motifs, envisioned by couturier Rahul Mishra.
Styled by celebrity fashion stylist, Meagan Concessio, Ananya exuded grace and glamour in the contemporary Indian silhouette. The drape complemented her petite body frame and the silver embellished bralette added a modern, bold twist to her desi glam look.
Ananya owned the green carpet look and posed for the media present at IIFA Utsavam, hosted in Abu Dhabi.
Looking fresh like a daisy, Ananya styled her hair down, which featured soft waves and kept her makeup minimal. Ananya added festive fervour in the quintessential nature-inspired saree and this drape is definitely making the rounds this wedding season. The bold bralette can also be paired with a floral lehenga.
The six-yards of sheer elegance is from Rahul Mishra’s Anarbel series from his recent couture collection, Nargis. The series featured visuals from the window of a home, overlooking a vast expanse of verdure, teeming with florals, birds, and fiery red pomegranates and flowers turning to ripe fruit.
The intricate chintz inspired motifs are realised on a deep sapphire blue base, highlighting the colour thread work crafted over eight months by more than 1200 embroidery artisans from various villages across India. Nargis modernises hundreds of ancient, traditional hand embroidery detailing featuring aari thread-work, bugle beads, kundan, various kinds of rhinestone crystals, glass beads, freshwater pearls, sequins, nakshi pita work, and more.
An unforgettable night surrounded by the best in Indian cinema, the IIFA Utsavam was attended by Chiranjeevi, Mani Ratnam, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, AR Rahaman, Nassar, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vikram, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Kriti Sanon, Rakul Preet Singh, Prabhu Deva, Mrunal Thakur, Nani, Rana Daggubati, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Shahid Kapur, Jayaram, Shine Tom Chacko, Venkatesh Daggubati, Keerthy Suresh, and Regina Cassandra among others.
At the IIFA press conference, Ananya made a statement in a red crepe corset party dress with 3D handmade black and red flower appliques designed from brand NEDO. She paired the strapless dress with red matching tights and red footwear. Addressing the media, Ananya was joined on stage by Shahid Kapur, Rashi Khanna, Kriti Sanon, Vicky Kaushal, Siddhant Chaturvedi.
