New Delhi: Mohun Bagan have received Bhaichung Bhutia’s official letter on Wednesday and are yet to decide the next course of action.
The Green and Maroons had earlier show caused the Sikkimese Sniper for being lackadaisical in his attitude and giving football a second priority over reality shows.
Bhaichung had responded to this through media asking for an amicable release from the club as he had no desire to don the Green and Maroon jersey ever.
Mohun Bagan had mentioned that they shall answer only when they receive a letter from Bhaichung, which they now have.
Speaking to Goal.com, Mohun Bagan’s Debashish Dutta said, “Yes, we have received a letter from Bhaichung. It’s a sealed envelope and so we do not know the contents of the letter.
“This matter is directly handled by our general secretary Anjan Mitra who is on a holiday for now. When he comes back to Kolkata, we shall mull over what the next step must be.”
