How to Turn Off Cellular Data for Maps on an iPhone
This wikiHow teaches you how to disable cellular (or mobile) data usage for the iOS Maps app in the absence of wifi.
Steps

Open your iPhone's Settings. Do so by tapping the grey gear icon on one of your Home screens (it might also be in a folder named "Utilities").

Tap Cellular. It's in the first group of options. If your phone uses British English, this option will be entitled Mobile Data.

Scroll down to Maps. This is in the "Use Cellular Data For:" area toward the bottom of the page.

Slide the Maps button right to the "Off" position. It should turn grey. Now when you're on-the-go and not connected to wifi, your Maps app will not default to cellular data.

What's your reaction?
