Filming the Challenge on TikTok

Save a photo of the Eye Shape Chart to your camera roll. Find the chart by searching “TikTok eye shape chart” on Google Images. If you can’t save the image directly, take a screenshot of the chart and resize it to 9x16.

Open TikTok and click the “+” button at the bottom of the screen. This button opens up the camera screen so you can create a new video.

Hit “Effects” and apply the “Eyes and Mouth Overlay” effect. The effects button is the square to the left of the record button. Once the effects bar pops up at the bottom of the screen, tap the magnifying glass icon, type in “Eyes and Mouth Overlay” in the search bar, then hit the effect to apply it. The “Eyes and Mouth Overlay” effect removes your real background and only leaves your eyes and mouth visible.

Pick the Eye Shape Chart as the background and make your video. Use two fingers to pinch the screen and adjust your eye size so it fits the eye shapes on the chart. Hit the red record button on the bottom center of the screen, then use one finger to drag your eyes over each image and find your eye shape. Save your Snapchat video and upload it to TikTok. After you’re done recording, tap the download icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to save the video to your phone. Open TikTok, click the “+” button in the bottom center of the screen, then select the Upload button to post your video.
