It earned around Rs 1 crore rupees from abroad, with specifics like Rs 60 lakh in Nizam, Rs 15 lakh in the seeded region, Rs 65 lakh in Andhra, and a Rs 1.40 crore gross in AP Telangana, resulting in a Rs 75 lakh share. The total worldwide share amounted to Rs 1.51 crore (3.35 crore gross).
Despite a 50-crore budget, this Telugu movie only managed to secure Rs 17 crore in pre-release business. With an initial break-even target of Rs 18 crore, the film fell short, becoming a colossal disaster. It scraped together a mere Rs 1.50 crore in worldwide share revenue, resulting in a significant Rs 16.49 crore box office loss.
In today’s time, generating pre-release hype is essential for movie success, particularly for unique concepts and tier-2 hero films. But Varun Tej’s Gandeevadhari Arjuna struggled to build the necessary buzz, affecting its box office performance.
BVSN Prasad produced the film under the Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner, with Mickey Jay Mayer composing the music. Netflix holds the movie’s streaming rights, and it will be available on the platform eight weeks after its theatrical debut.
