Yangon: Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi was taken on Thursday from the villa where she has been held for the last four years to a state guesthouse where she has previously met foreign diplomats, diplomatic sources said.
There was no immediate word on the purpose of the trip, although the most likely explanation was to meet Aung Kyi, a senior member of the ruling military junta appointed as a go-between after last month's pro-democracy protests.
