BANGALORE: While it is a known fact that Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) which presented an ‘unrealistic’ budget is ‘cash strapped’, Mayor Sharadamma has a different story to relate. On Wednesday, Sharadamma said that there is no financial crisis for works approved in the budget.The mayor was speaking to the reporters on Wednesday after inspecting various development works in Bommanahalli zone. She said that there is no dearth of funds for the developmental works approved in budget and as well as for the ward level works. “We will take up all the works,” she clarified.Further, she said the BBMP may face financial crisis if it takes up new works. “But if we find the necessity to take up new works, we certainly will,” she said.Sharadamma said BBMP has taken UGD works in Mangammanapalya and Madeena main road at the cost of `90 lakh. This will benefit public and there will be no overflow of water during monsoon. She later visited HSR layout where public complained about ongoing work by BWSSB which is causing inconvenience to public.She ordered BWSSB officials to complete the work as soon as possible. “BWSSB people are laying water pipes in HSR layout. We can take asphalting work only after pipe laying work is completed,” she added. Bommanahalli MLA Satish Reddy, Ruling party President B R Nanjundappa were present.
