CM hands over Aasare houses to flood-hit

BANDOLI (Surpur): Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda has instructed all the agencies which are engaged in the construction of houses under Aasare Scheme to complete the construction and distribute houses to beneficiaries by the end of September.Distributing the hakku patra (title deed) to the beneficiaries of Aasare Scheme of Bandoli and Uppaldinni villages at Bandoli in Surpur taluk on Sunday, the chief minister directed the district administrations of various districts not to wait for him for the distributions of houses to the beneficiaries.“The district in-charge ministers should do this work,” he said.The chief minister said that the government has a target of constructing 63,000 houses for the 2009 flood-hit in 294 villages of 14 districts.Of this, already construction of 39,500 houses have been completed and 14,500 houses were handed over to the beneficiaries.The chief minister asked the district administration to complete the construction of remaining houses in the district by the end of September.The chief minister said that Raju Gowda is the ‘chief minister’ of Yadgir district as he enjoys the support of a large number of people of the district.
