PUDUCHERRY: The Congress-DMK alliance would hold good for the local body elections in the Union Territory, said union minister of state for parliamentary affairs and PMO V Narayanasamy. Briefing mediapersons, he refused to comment on the remarks made by DMK supremo M Karunanidhi, blaming the Congress government at the Centre for his daughter Kanimozhi’s arrest. Narayanasamy said that he had already spoken to the union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad regarding the MCI approval for the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute. He also assured to get special allocation from the government of India for the development of the UT.The Congress would refrain from criticising the Rangasamy government for the first six months and allow it to perform as per the mandate given by the people of the Union Territory. The new government would be given an opportunity to implement the three schemes that it had announced on coming to power, he said.
