Prague: The Czech Republic set about finalising their World Cup preparation plans by announcing a series of warm-up friendly internationals on Wednesday.

Karel Bruckner's men will face fellow qualifiers Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica and Trinidad and Tobago in the run-up to the finals in Germany from June 9 to July 9.

The Czechs, who will face Italy, Ghana and USA in group E, also have one more free date to fill before their preparation plans are complete.

They will play Saudia Arabia on May 26 before facing Costa Rica on May 31 and Trinidad and Tobago on June 3 but Bruckner wants to add another friendly to the team's already busy schedule.

"Karel Bruckner would like the team to play another match on May 27 but we have yet to find an opponent," said Czech Football vice-president Vlastimil Kostal.

There is also an earlier opportunity to prepare the team in a friendly away to Turkey but that takes place on March 1, three months before the big kick-off in Germany.
