New Delhi: Facebook has already taken a leaf from Twitter's book, and now a new report claims that Facebook is testing a Twitter-like Trending Topics section.
According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Facebook is testing this new section in the homepage News Feed of its website. The section features topics, including hashtags, which are now popular on the site. A Facebook spokeswoman has confirmed the test, says the report.
The report quotes the spokeswoman as saying, "Right now it only available to a small percentage of US users and it is still in the early stages of development."
Facebook has been seen aping Twitter for quite sometime now. After introducing the Hashtags feature in June, Facebook rolled out another feature seemingly inspired by Twitter - embedded posts - last month.
