Former member of Parliament and MLA from Tonk Dwarak Prasad Bairwa passed away after a brief illness at SMS hospital in Jaipur, official sources said on Wednesday. He was 65.
Bairwa, suffering from acute diabetes and other chronic illnesses, breathed his last at the hospital on Tuesday night.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot visited Bairwa's residence in Jaipur and expressed his condolence to members of his family.
In his message, Gehlot said Bairwa was a grass root level Congress worker whose contribution in politics as district president, MLA and MP from Tonk would be remembered always by his followers and party.
