For the thousands of job seekers, the State Government has launched a job portal.

On behalf of the Labour department, Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC) will run the job protal www.odepc.kerala.gov.in, informed Labour Minister Shibu Baby John.

A state government-run job portal is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country.

Job aspirants can apply to public and private firms in the country through the site.  ODEPC is the State Government agency which facilitates overseas recruitments. With the launch of the website, ODEPC enters into the domestic employment sector.

Job aspirants can register their names and submit their biodata in the portal. The registered user will get a user ID which enables them to update the resume.

The registration fee is `100. For overseas jobs, professionals such as doctors and engineers must pay `600 for registration, skilled labourers such as nurses and clerks `250, and unskilled labourers ` 70. The website is designed by KELTRON.
