Saji Surendran's husbands and wives are back to entertain the audience with their convivial rows and clutters. The director, who has a special knack for narrating marital issues, tells the story of four husbands through the comic caper 'Husbands In Goa'. The husbands set off to Goa to take a break from their domineering wives and what awaits them on the way forms the crux of the film. The movie hit the theatres today.

The movie has Asif Ali, Indrajith and Jayasurya as the husbands who have a tough time with their partners Remya Nambeesan, Rima Kallingal and Bhama respectively. Arjun (Asif Ali) has a pushy wife Veena (Remya) who runs a civil service coaching class. Since Veena aspires her husband to be a civil servant, she constantly nags him to attend the classes. Jerry (Indrajith), an advocate in the family court is tired of his wife Teena (Rima) who makes him do all the domestic chores. The third troubled husband played by Jayasurya, a chartered accountant by profession, has a highly devout wife, Abhirami (Bhama). She always drags him to temples, much to his displeasure.

The husbands who leave for Goa meet a boozed cinematographer (played by Lal) during the train journey. The elderly drunkard who is on the verge of divorce with his lecturer wife (Praveena), gives the youngsters tips on how to enjoy life to its fullest. The evergreen number ‘Pichakapponkaavukalkumappuram...’ of 'No.20 Madras Mail' has been adapted in the movie, which is already a chartbuster.

The youngsters, taking cue from Lal, run to a young woman Jennifer that creates troubles in their lives. Model-turned-actress Leena Maria who was seen in movies like 'Red Chillies', 'Nandalala', and 'Cobra' dons the role of Jennifer in the movie.

The story, screenplay and dialogues are by Krishna Poojappura and Anil Nair cranks the camera. Lyrics are penned by Shibu Chakravarthy and Vayalar Sharath Chandravarma. Music is by M G Sreekumar.
