I don't follow fashion trends: Irrfan Khan
Dressed as a warrior, the actor walked the ramp as a showstopper for designers.

New Delhi: When acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan walked down the ramp as a showstopper for designer duo Rohit and Abhishek, his confident walk with a dash of attitude stole the show.

Dressed as a warrior, Irrfan sauntered in his trademark style, with his left hand tucked inside his pocket, on the third day of Van Heusen India Mens Week 2011.

"It was fantastic to walk on the ramp and I wasn't nervous. I don't follow fashion trends but when my dear friends asked me to walk the ramp I couldn't say no. But that doesn't mean I have any interest in fashion and being a fashion designer would be the last thing in the world for me," said Khan.

The 45-year-old Padma Shri awardee, who was last seen in the multi starrer film Thank You, is associated with the designer duo from more than two years.

Their collection, titled 'Horse Warriors', is a creative representation of the dresses worn by warriors in the Irrfan-starrer The Warrior. Similar to the 2001 film, there were headgears and well fitted coats with attached metals chains in their collection.

"We have designed Irrfan's wardrobe in his film Yeh Saali Zindagi and it's been two years that we are together. As our collection was similar to his film, so we thought of having him as our showstopper," Abhishek said.

The front row of the show had filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and model-turned-actor Dino Morea cheering for the designers.
