Remember the bomb blast scene in 'D- Day'? The one in which the camera captures the shot from a third person's perspective where the impact of the blast is felt in an eerie soundless shot. That was editor Arif Sheikh's work and his work was voted as the best in editing category.
Arif Sheikh's sleek work in Nikhil Advani's thriller 'D- Day' got a whopping 50% votes for making the spy drama taut and gripping. Chandrashekhar Prajapati's work in war thriller 'Madras Cafe' was a far second as it got 27% votes. Interestingly, both films were thrillers and the work of the editor was pertinent to make it a taught drama.
In the third spot was John F Lyons work for the sublime 'The Lunchbox' which got 11.82% while Arindam Ghatak got 5.68% votes for 'Go Goa Gone'. Anand Subaya's work in 'Fukrey' got 5.22%.
