HYDERABAD: A notorious inter-state women trafficker was arrested by Task Force sleuths here on Wednesday with the information provided by the Mumbai police. Task Force DCP Ch Ramchander said Sheik Haneef Kareem alias Andha Sheik (52) is a resident of Borivili West, Mumbai. According to information provided by the Mumbai police to their counterparts in Hyderabad, Haneef ran a readymade garments shop and did construction material business earlier. In 1993 communal riots, his truck was set on fire by some miscreants. Haneef also sustained an injury on his head and he went into coma. Though he regained consciousness after 22 days, he lost his eyesight. In 1996, he regained his eyesight after undergoing an operation. But he was debt-ridden. Haneef who set up Esha beauty parlour at Malad West in 1997, started running a flesh trade. Later, he became a women trafficker. Haneef who is wanted in connection with a case in Mumbai, was apprehended at Hyderabad Central. Later, he was handed over to the Malad police for further action.Meanwhile, the South Zone Task Force raided a house at Sai Baba Nagar in Chatrinaka and arrested pimp Ghousia alias Shabana of Borabanda and customers Mohd Jilani, Md Khaleel and Sheik Javeed Qureshi. A sum of `3,000 and mobile phones were seized. The Task Force rescued three women from flesh trade. A case was registered against Ghousia.
