Jewellery worth crores looted from shop

Ranchi: Gold and diamonds worth crores of rupees were robbed from a jewellery shop in Ranchi, the police said on Wednesday. Thieves stole jewellery from Anand Jewellers located on the Main Road in the city when the shop was closed for three days on account of Durga Puja, sources said.

The theft came to light when the shop owner rolled up the shutters on Tuesday, police said, adding investigation into the theft was on and they were waiting for a detailed list of stolen jewellery from the shop-owner.
