The Jog waterfalls in Shimoga district, Karnataka have been flooded due to heavy rainfall. It has become a major tourist attraction for its unique beauty. Beckoning tourists. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation’s Hubli Rural Divisional Controller, H. Ramanagoudar, has announced to arrange special buses from Hubli on Sundays and public holidays for viewing the falls. These buses will depart from Gokul Road.
Lately, due to the heavy downpour in the hilly areas, all the rivers and waterfalls are overflowing. The Jog waterfalls have now become an eye-catching sight for the tourist and the Controller empathised that the visitors should be able to see this beautiful sight of this splendour waterfall. In response to the public demand, the Rajahansa Multi-Excel Volvo AC buses from Hubli have been arranged to make it easier for people to visit the Jog Falls. Additionally, provision has been made for the darshan (sacred viewing) of Shirasi Marikamba temple. Adequate time has been provided to enjoy the beauty of nature as well as viewing the waterfall.
Timing Details:
The Rajahansa bus departs from Hubli at 7:30 am and reaches Jog Falls by 11:45 am. The bus again departs from Jog Falls at around 5 pm and arrives at Hubli by 9:30 pm. The fare for this trip is Rs. 430.
Meanwhile, the Volvo AC bus leaves Hubli at 8 am and reaches Jog Falls by noon. It also departs from Jog Falls at 5 pm and reaches Hubli at around 9 pm with a fare of Rs. 600. Another special bus was arranged in 2023 which received good response from the passengers as well.

Advance Booking for these special buses is provided online through www.ksrtc.in and KSRTC Mobile App. One can also book the tickets from Gokul Road Bus Stand and Hosur Bus Stand.
