CHENNAI: A woman attendant of a government maternity hospital is fighting for her life after she was assaulted by a man, whose marriage proposal was rejected by her kin’s family, at Triplicane on Wednesday.A verbal altercation between V Rosamma, who works as ayah at Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital in Triplicane, and her colleague’s son P Sivakumar (35) on a personal issue led to the knife attack, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Triplicane) S Senthil Kumaran told Express on Thursday. A case of attempt to murder was registered against Sivakumar, who was arrested on Thursday.
