The wait for the new iPad Mini from Apple is going to be end soon as the Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly planning to launch seventh-generation iPad mini in in September or October next year.
According to MacRumors, supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that Apple is aiming to begin mass production of the the next iPad mini at some point in the second half of 2024, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, meaning the device would be manufactured in July or later.
The upcoming iPad mini is expected to come with a faster A16 Bionic chip. There are rumors of upgraded front and rear cameras compared to the current model, which has a 12MP rear camera and a 12MP Ultra Wide front camera, MacRumors reported.
Additionally, there are speculations about new colour options for the iPad mini, as the current model is available in Space Gray, Starlight, Pink, and Purple. It’s likely that the next iPad mini will support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, offering faster Wi-Fi speeds with compatible routers and improved Bluetooth connectivity
The Cupertino-based brand has already incorporated Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 in the latest iPad Pro, iPhone 15 Pro models, and most new Macs.
Leaks have also hinted that screen assembly in the new iPad mini to address the issue of “jelly scrolling” or screen tearing in portrait orientation. This effect can make text or images on one side of the screen appear tilted due to a mismatch in refresh rates, the report said.
Apple launched the latest iPad mini in September 2021, introducing several new features. These included a larger 8.3-inch display, a USB-C port, a Touch ID power button, the A15 Bionic chip, 5G support for cellular models, a 12MP rear camera with Center Stage support, compatibility with the second-generation Apple Pencil, and various other enhancements.
