New Delhi: The Medical Council of India (MCI) has summoned over 300 doctors to question them on an anonymous complaint that they had been bribed by a pharmaceutical firm.
Reacting to the complaint, the MCI has said that it has already questioned 166 doctors. The probe is at an initial stage and the MCI is just questioning on the basis of allegations.
According to a complaint, an Ahmedabad-based pharmacy company has been paying doctors lakhs of rupees for prescribing its medicines.
