ADILABAD: Telangana activists and rebel TD group members obstructed BC welfare minister B Saraiah’s programme at Parade grounds twice on Monday.Telangana JAC and TRS activists, raising Telangana slogans, obstructed the minister’s convoy at the R&B guest house when he was on way to the parade grounds. They demanded that Saraiah should put in his papers for the cause of Telangana and ensure that his resignation was accepted.However, police removed the protestors and gave way to the minister’s convoy. At the parade grounds, rebel TD activists led by MLA Jogu Ramana, who is also a supporter of suspended MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy, tried to gherao the minister he was about to inspect the guard of honour after hoisting the flag.They too demanded that the minister should resign from his post. They also demanded tabling of Telangana bill in the Parliament. Police intervened and arrested the TD activists.
