New Delhi: MTV Roadies, which is a youth-based reality television show on MTV India, has won 'The Most Social TV Show' at Mashable Awards 2011. The show from MTV went all out on Facebook and Twitter by posting new videos, images, updates and exclusive sneak peeks on the social networks before they hit anywhere else.
Other nominees included WWE RAW, Pretty Little Liars, Attack of the Show, Supernatural, Bones and The Glee Project.
The show, which is a blend of adventure, thrill, drama and survival of the toughest, is said to be the only Indian show to have ever won the Mashable Awards.
According to Mashable, one of the popular online tech and news websites, the category - Most Social TV Show - honours the reader's choice for the best broadcast or cable television show that utilises social media in an innovative, memorable or integral way.
The annual Mashable awards recognises and acknowledges the companies, people and projects that managed to make some big impact on the digital landscape in the current year. It is a community-focused competition rewarding the best of digital and social media.
