Muniyappa not Involved in assault

BANGALORE:  Supporters of the Bahujan Samaj Party’s state president Marasandra Muniyappa on Monday sought to clarify that their leader was not involved in any assault or attempt to murder case. The Hebbal police, following the complaint against Marasandra Muniyappa by D Veeranna, a resident of Manorayanapalya, had lodged a criminal case on January 6.Addressing media persons here on Monday, R Muniyappa, State General Secretary of BSP said “This is an planned conspiracy against our leader by Union Minister of State Railways K H Muniyappa. Ramprasad, who happen to be a close aid of the union minister, had grabbed over 20 acre of land belonging to the dalits at Manchenahalli. Now, the minister has planned to grab 30 acre of land estimated to be more than Rs 150 crore.”
