In a horrific incident, a man in Nepal allegedly assaulted his wife with nails and a blade on her private parts over suspicion of an extramarital affair. The man was arrested in Maharashtra’s Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The accused allegedly pierced iron nails with a sharp blade on her private parts to put up a brass lock there, India Today reported quoting the police.
As per the police, the assault took place on May 11 after the 30-year-old accused, who works as a watchman, suspected her wife of having an affair with someone and thrashed her badly.
He then tied her hands and feet with a cloak. The accused then took a sharp blade and cut two holes in her private parts, put iron nails and affixed the lock on it.
The woman was later rushed to the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment for injuries she sustained during the brutal assault. The woman has filed a police complaint from the hospital and the accused has been arrested.
A case was registered against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 506(2) (criminal intimidation), and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt).
Last month, Haryana police registered a case against a man who assaulted his wife with a baseball bat over suspicion of an alleged extramarital affair. The video of the incident was widely shared and triggered outrage on social media.
In the video, the man upon discovering his wife with another man first smashed the car window, then dragged the woman out of the vehicle and began to beat her with a baseball bat.
